Brandi's Bio
Brandi is a mother of 6 beautiful children and the wife of one of our staff members. She and her husband of 10 years just recently brought home their adopted twins from Ethiopia and she has a desire to return to Africa and make a difference in the lives of the people.
Trip Description
In Nairobi, Southeast partners with Christian Missionary Fellowship (CMF), and an indigenous Kenyan ministry called the Mathare Family Hope Center. Their combined effort serving the urban poor of Nairobi is called Hope Partnership.
Marthare Valley slum-dwellers typically have very poor self-images, and have learned to survive and depend on handouts from outsiders. The long-term solution is to help them understand who they are in Christ, and to assist them in making physical and spiritual changes in their lives.
Mission Partner Description
This year Hope Partnership has invited Southeast to bring a worship and drama training team to the Mathare Valley slum. Hope has planted five churches, and also train more than a thousand children in their schools, all of whom they hope to train and equip in Biblical worship, and use of drama for evangelism.
Our capacity to serve them will depend on the skills present in our team, and directly proportional to the number of people the Lord calls to serve on this team.
